::Site Status::
I've been getting several emails a day
asking when I'm going to get back to this site. Right now, I am
casually playing AC2, but my vassal, Ned Cleversun, doesn't have a
computer that can run the game. He has a new system coming, but the
motherboard he wants is on back order. Once he joins me in AC2, I'll
be ramping Dereth Living back up. Until then, I'll likely be in a
holding pattern here. The future just isn't the same without the
company of my wonderful vassal!

::Site Status::
Many of you have written asking about
the status of this site, since I haven't updated in a long while. The
reason is a simple one: during Beta, I was having issues with my
system crashing (and the dreaded vitae hole ;-), so I put more site
updates on hold until I could actually play the game. You can expect
more updates soon, after the game hits the shelves, and an official
site launch in the near future.

I have two more sections finally looking
the way I like. I'm so picky!! ;-) The
Quests section
starts off with the amazing and complicated
Beetle
Slayer quest! Yay! The
AC2 News
section is also incomplete, but I do have the transcript of the one
and only
AC2
Dev Chat, the
Beta Build
Notes and a few other bits and pieces. More coming soon!

::Beasts Section Goes Semi-Live::
The
Beasts section goes
live! For the most part. The basic structure is in place, just waiting
to be filled in. Thanks to Avendora for the screenshot of the Plaguebearer Grutt to help start things off! If you'd like to help
with this section, send your (unedited) screenshots to
maggie@derethliving.com.
Shots of the creature itself preferred, as close up and clean as you
can get it. For best results, close your UI windows first. To help
fill out the database, I'd also love the following information:
confirmed stats, xp received for killing it, dropped loot, and the
location you found it. Don't forget to include your in-game name!

::Welcome to Maggie the Jackcat's Dereth Living::
Since I've been receiving so much mail,
asking if and when I'm going to launch my AC2 site, I decided to go
ahead and publish the URL. Because I've spent about 20 minutes max in
the beta (server full, server down, downloading updates on dial-up),
there is not yet very much content! (Ok, there's really no content;
this is just the bare bones initial phase.) That will change. I didn't
launch the AC1 site until several months after retail, and I can
safely say the delay didn't hurt its popularity. As with my AC1 site,
contributions from players are always welcome and you'll receive due
credit (although be warned: my name spelling ability hasn't improved!! ;-). If
you've made it into the beta and would like to help gather data, I'd
love the assistance. Send your screenshots to
maggie@derethliving.com.
Or if you enjoy writing and would like to take part in some of the
special sections I have planned, send me an email.
